As United Nations partner, JCI is committed to
advancing the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (UNMDG) through
different projects using UNMDG as a framework specifically targeting poverty,
hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation and discrimination
against women.
In line with our efforts to support the UNMDG,
JCI-KG, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd)- Division of
Cagayan de Oro, will hold the “ UNMDG in the 21st Century: We Unite
For A Better World” City-Wide Poster-Making Competition and My World Forum for
both Elementary and Secondary students and teachers from different
participating public schools in Cagayan de Oro City on August 9, 2014 and
Exhibit of the winners’ 30x20 inches Poster artworks depicting the 8 MDG’s from
August 11-22, 2014 at Limketkai Center (tentative venue).
There will be four (4) MDG’s per category and
these are as follows:
Category A: Elementary (1pupil/school=1 MDG)
MDG
1: Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger
MDG
2: Achieve Universal Primary Education
MDG 3: Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women
MDG 7:
Ensure Environmental Sustainability

B: Secondary (1 pupil/school=1 MDG)

4: Reduce Child Mortality
MDG
5: Improve Maternal Health
MDG
6: Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and Other Diseases
MDG
8: Develop a Global Partnership for Development
We are extending a special low cost opportunity

exceptional talent of art, and increase your visibility through this one of a
